Vietnamese airline Bamboo Airways has awarded Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) a contract to provide MRO services for its fleet of CFM56-5B engines.
IAI says the contract marks an important milestone in its continued growth in the Asian market.
Established in 2017 and commencing services in January 2019, Bamboo Airways is the first private airline in Vietnam under the traditional model (full-service carrier).
Ido Ben Cnaan, vice president and general manager of the MRO division at IAI Aviation Group, said: “We are grateful to Bamboo Airways for selecting us to manage its CFM56-5B engines and look forward to further strengthening our partnership.”
