Caerdav, an independent UK MRO, has signed a General Terms Agreement with aviation leasing company, AerCap, to deliver a range of maintenance services across their aircraft portfolio.
Primarily working on Boeing 737 and Airbus A320 aircraft, Caerdav will carry out end of lease, transition checks, entry into service and redelivery work for AerCap.
Phil Swanson, director of business development at Caerdav, said: “One of the key differentiators between Caerdav and many other UK-based MROs is our independence within the industry. With no affiliation to a particular airline or parent company, we are able to offer AerCap a tailored maintenance solution, meeting the various challenges and unforeseen work that can often arise when conducting aircraft maintenance.”
Caerdav says that a major factor behind the deal is the firm’s recent investment in its back-shop capabilities, which allows it to offer customers a wide range of non-destructive testing (NDT), paint repairs, restoration and heat treatments – helping to deliver a ‘one-stop-shop’ for aircraft coming through its doors.
