Gama Aviation company Jet East is to begin offering sales and installation of air-to-ground (ATG) inflight connectivity provider SmartSky Networks’ advanced shipsets. This will occur at Jet East’s maintenance facilities for business aviation aircraft in Trenton, New Jersey, Dallas, Texas, Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and West Palm Beach, Florida.

Jet East’s factory-trained technicians will install SmartSky’s connectivity equipment to “support the growing demand for dependable, responsive, and secure connectivity on business aviation aircraft”.

“Our sales and installation partners provide a critical connection to our customers,” said SmartSky Networks’ director of MRO account management Aria Bahawdory. “Jet East shares our vision for challenging the status quo for inflight connectivity and delivering superior value for business aviation at a time when being connected has become a top priority – whether that be for improving the emissions of the aircraft or the quality of the experience in the cabin.”

Jet East’s senior director, avionics sales and business development Dwayne Chandler commented: “Business aviation continues to experience a period of growth and we are seeing an increased demand for both regular maintenance and upgrades to legacy aircraft to keep them flying longer. We are focused on providing our customers with the best possible solutions to support their needs; SmartSky makes a great addition to our portfolio.”
