Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance (AFI KLM E&M) has announced the appointment of Martijn de Vries as senior vice president commercial, effective April 01, 2026, succeeding Pierre Teboul who will retire.

De Vries brings a wealth of experience to the role, having dedicated a total of 25 years to KLM Royal Dutch Airlines in a variety of finance, commercial, and operational leadership positions.

After earning his master’s degree (MA) in business economics at Amsterdam VU University, de Vries began his journey with KLM as a Finance trainee.

Over the last 10 years he has held several finance roles across the corporate, cargo, and engineering and maintenance divisions and completed a MSc in finance and control.

Transitioning to commercial and operational leadership, De Vries spent a total of 20 years within Engineering & Maintenance, including roles of increasing responsibility.

Most recently, he was managing director of EPCOR B.V., a 100% MRO subsidiary of AFI KLM E&M, and since September 2021, he serves his role as vice president of KLM Engine Services.

Anne Brachet, executive vice president Air France – KLM Engineering & Maintenance, said about de Vries: “His deep expertise, proven leadership, and commitment to AFI KLM E&M’s values make him exceptionally well-suited to lead us into our next chapter.

“We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to Pierre Teboul for his years of dedicated service and wish him a fulfilling retirement.”

De Vries commented: “I am honoured to take on this new role at AFI KLM E&M and grateful for the trust placed in me by the company’s leadership. Having spent my career at KLM and in the AFI KLM E&M domain, I have witnessed first-hand the dedication and passion of our joint teams across all divisions.

“I look forward to building on Pierre Teboul’s outstanding legacy and working closely with colleagues throughout the organisation to drive innovation, operational excellence, and sustainable growth. Together, we will continue to deliver exceptional value to our customers and partners as an industry leader.

“I am excited for the opportunities ahead and committed to supporting our people and customers as we navigate the future of aviation.”
