EirTrade strengthens Americas team with Smith appointment
EirTrade Aviation has appointed Oliver Smith as origination and trading manager for the Americas, strengthening its focus on growth in the region.
Smith brings more than 20 years of global experience in commercial aviation asset management, covering airframe and engine acquisitions, leasing, and aftermarket component trading.
He has held senior leadership roles across the United States, Europe and the Middle East, including founding and scaling aviation businesses and overseeing portfolios worth more than $500 million.
EirTrade Aviation said Smith’s “deep industry knowledge, strategic vision, and extensive network across airlines, OEMs, MROs and lessors” will play a key role in supporting its expansion.
In a statement on LinkedIn, the company commented that the appointment “reflects EirTrade’s commitment to strategically expanding its origination team and strengthening its global trading capabilities to deliver innovative asset management solutions to partners worldwide”.
