Embraer and Fokker Services deepen collaboration in services and support

Embraer and Fokker Services have signalled their intent to deepen the existing collaboration between the companies in services and support projects, as well as in other areas.

The pair noted aftermarket support topics, such as aircraft modifications and customisation, programme support, logistics, repair services and all other support opportunities as areas of interest.

Embraer and Fokker Services made the announcement at the Farnborough International Airshow today (20 July).

The companies previously signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in October 2021 covering opportunities in the defence sector, which also included Fokker Techniek.

In May, Embraer announced the selection of Fokker Services to provide MRO services on a series of engine line replaceable units (LRUs) enrolled in Embraer’s pool programme, supporting Embraer’s first-generation E-Jets aircraft, including the E170, E175, E190 and E195. The multi-year agreement includes more than 60 part numbers of engine LRUs.

In the commercial aviation market, engineering, repair and logistics support will be key elements to be explored by the companies, in addition to hydrogen powered aircraft development.
