Wholly-owned Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance subsidiary Epcor has been awarded a new contract by China Eastern Airlines.
Epcor will support the APS5000 auxiliary power units (APUs) equipping the airline’s fleet of Boeing 787-9 aircraft.
“We decided to work with Epcor for the maintenance of these APUs because of the extensive experience of its engineering teams, its state-of-the-art workshop and the adaptability of its customer-focused solutions,” said Eastern Airlines Technic’s general manager Song Shaokun.
Epcor noted that the deal further expanded its customer base in the fast-growing Chinese market.
“We are deeply honoured by this new contract,” said Epcor’s managing director Dominik Wiener-Silva. “China Eastern Airlines and the Air France-KLM Group share a long-time valued partnership; this maintenance contract takes our partnership to new heights.”
