Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance (AFI KLM E&M) has signed a component support programme for the entire 777 fleet of Ethiopian Airlines.

It means AFI KLM E&M will provide the airline with comprehensive coverage of all major components, including rotable spares and component repairs support for their 777-200LRs, 777-300ERs, and 777Fs – up to 25 aircraft in total.

The component support programme is set to begin immediately, giving Ethiopian Airlines access to a full range of support services throughout the term of the agreement, including access to a dedicated team of support specialists and a comprehensive inventory of rotable spares and components.

Ethiopian Airlines currently operates 20 Boeing 777 aircraft and recently announced it is set to purchase eight 777-9s and the potential for up to 12 additional.

Ethiopian Airlines was also the first African airline to order and operate the Boeing 777-200LR and took possession of its first 777 model back in 2010.
