Beijing Daxing International Airport has expanded its business aviation offerings with the opening of new facilities by ExecuJet Haite Aviation Services China (ExecuJet Haite) and Capital Airport Holding Business Aviation Management (CBM).
These new developments mark a significant advancement in the airport’s capabilities, solidifying its position as the largest business aviation hub in the Asia-Pacific region.
ExecuJet Haite has inaugurated a state-of-the-art MRO facility at Daxing. Spanning 7,150 sqm, the facility includes a 5,000 sqm hangar equipped with air conditioning and heating. The hangar can accommodate up to eight mid-size to large business jets simultaneously. The facility also features modern office spaces and extensive backshops.
This new MRO centre is designed to provide comprehensive services, including line maintenance, Aircraft on Ground (AOG) support, and heavy maintenance for aircraft from leading manufacturers such as Bombardier, Dassault Aviation, Embraer, and Gulfstream.
The Daxing MRO facility is more than twice the size of ExecuJet Haite’s previous 2,700 sqm facility at Tianjin’s Binhai International Airport, and the two centres will operate in tandem to enhance service offerings.
In parallel, CBM has opened a new Fixed-Base Operator (FBO) facility at Daxing, which is the largest of its kind in China. The FBO spans three levels and includes 12 VIP rooms, offering a level of service and luxury that sets a new standard in business aviation.
The facility is designed with three dedicated channels: one for domestic flights, one for international travelers, and a third for Very Very Important Persons (VVIPs).
The FBO boasts 85 aircraft parking spaces, including five hangars reserved for aircraft parking. These hangars and the accompanying apron can accommodate Airbus ACJ and Boeing BBJ single-aisle aircraft, offering ample space for a wide range of business jets.
Development at Beijing Daxing International Airport
The significant allocation of 400,000 sqm for business aviation at Beijing Daxing International Airport underscores the airport’s strategic push into this sector, with 300,000 sqm designated specifically for aircraft parking, loading, unloading, refueling, and boarding.
Paul Desgrosseilliers, ExecuJet Haite’s general manager, said: “We have been operating for nearly 15 years in China and are excited to now have a first-class MRO facility here at Beijing Daxing International Airport, one of the main international getaways to China and the region.
“The infrastructure at Beijing Daxing International Airport is second to none and is an attractive proposition for business jet operators because of features such as: streamlined security, customer focused ammentities, easy ramp access, and state-of-the-art hangar facilities.
“We are delighted to immediately start supporting business aircraft and be working with CBM to create a world-class business aviation hub.”
Li Yiyong, general manager of CBM, said: “The opening of the international channel of the Daxing business jet terminal provides a convenient and efficient new channel for international business passengers to enter and exit Daxing Airport.
“It’s of great significance for improving access of Daxing Airport, and promoting business cooperation as well as economic and trade development in Beijing, Hebei, and Tianjin.”
