Provider of aircraft parts and components to the global commercial aerospace market, Unical Aviation, Inc., has appointed former Safran Power USA, LLC president and chief executive, David Vollrath II, as its new chief operations officer.

Vollrath will develop and execute the Unical Operational growth strategy including oversight of all operational site activities.

Vollrath most recently served as the president and chief executive for Safran Power USA, LLC where he was responsible for three operational sites and 800 team members, which included OE and MRO operations.

Prior to Safran, Vollrath held roles as business unit director at Parker Aerospace; director of customer support and aftermarket services at DRS Training and Control Systems; senior manager, aftermarket services and customer support for Rolls-Royce; and senior manager, technical operations and engine management for American Trans Air.
