MRO provider GT Engine Services has officially rebranded as STS Engine Services, marking a significant step in its growth under new ownership.

The move follows the company’s acquisition by STS Aviation Group in May 2024 and represents a deeper integration into the group’s expanding global network.

According to STS, the rebrand brings enhanced service capabilities, greater scalability, and improved operational efficiency for its airline and lessor customers worldwide.

Mark Smith, president of STS Aviation Group, said: “Rebranding GT Engine Services as STS Engine Services is more than a name change… it’s a bold step toward unifying our capabilities under a single, globally recognised brand.

“We are creating a streamlined, full-service aviation solutions provider that integrates commercial, military and material MRO services into a single-point solution for our customers.”

The company confirmed that all current operations, contracts, and leadership remain in place, ensuring a seamless transition for existing customers.

Tracey Clark, managing director of STS Engine Services, said the change marks “an exciting new chapter” for the business: “The foundation of GT Engine Services has always been built on expertise, trust, and outstanding service. As STS Engine Services, we will continue that legacy while leveraging the global strength of STS Aviation Group to expand our capabilities, invest in new technologies, and create even greater value for our customers.”

STS Engine Services will continue to specialise in the repair and management of CFM56, CFM LEAP, CF34, CF6, PW4000, V2500, RB211, GTF, and Trent 700 engines, supporting both commercial and military operators. The rebrand, STS said, reflects a broader ambition to become a fully integrated, people-driven MRO provider offering world-class engine maintenance backed by global resources and infrastructure.
