Engineering and maintenance provider, HAECO, and Emirates have extended their A380 base maintenance contract through 2030.
HAECO will continue to provide heavy maintenance services, including 6-year, 9-year and 12-year checks, at its state-of-the-art facility in Xiamen.
The base maintenance partnership between HAECO and Emirates began in 2024 with the induction of Emirates’ first A380 for its 6-year check in Xiamen.
This September, HAECO successfully completed its first 12-year check of an A380 for Emirates on schedule.
Gerald Steinhoff, chief commercial officer of HAECO, said: “This long-term contract extension underscores the exceptional quality of our service and our proven ability to meet the operational demands of top-tier customers, including those in the Middle East.”
This news follows on the heels of HAECO’s recent announcement to expand its line maintenance partnership with Japan Airlines (JAL) at Shanghai Pudong International Airport.
