Iberia launches recruitment drive for licensed maintenance engineers
Spanish flag carrier Iberia has begun recruiting EASA Part-66 B1 and B2 licensed Certifying Staff for its line maintenance teams as it prepares for continued fleet and operational growth.
The recruitment campaign is linked to the airline’s Flight Plan 2030 strategy, which includes expanding its long-haul fleet to 70 aircraft and further strengthening the position of Madrid-Barajas Airport as a key hub connecting Europe and the Americas.
Certifying Staff play a critical role in maintaining aircraft safety and availability, carrying out inspections, certifying maintenance work and authorising aircraft to return to service following maintenance activities.
Iberia is seeking candidates who hold a B1 and/or B2 aircraft maintenance licence and have experience working within the aircraft maintenance sector.
The airline said preference will be given to applicants with type ratings on Airbus A320ceo/neo, A321XLR, A330 and A350 aircraft, as well as those able to demonstrate current experience on these fleets.
Applicants are also expected to have a good command of technical English and possess a valid driving licence.
Successful candidates will join Iberia’s maintenance division, which provides maintenance services to more than 100 customers worldwide and is regarded as one of the largest aircraft maintenance organisations in southern Europe.
According to the airline, new recruits will have access to ongoing training, advanced digital maintenance tools including AMOS Mobile and Aviatar’s electronic technical logbook (eTLB), and a range of professional development opportunities.
