Japanese investor acquires CF6 engine from AerFin
Aircraft and engine aftermarket solutions provider AerFin has completed the sale of a CF6-80 engine to a Japanese investor, in a deal that highlights continued appetite in Japan for mature and established aviation engine assets.
AerFin said the transaction underlines the enduring appeal of proven engine platforms among Japanese investors, who remain active in the market due to strong asset fundamentals and long-term value potential.
AerFin said its ability to originate, manage and transact CF6 engines continues to position the company as a partner for investors seeking reliable and well-understood assets.
Auvinash Narayen, chief investment officer at AerFin, said: “We continue to see strong appetite from Japanese investors for mature, proven engine platforms. This transaction reflects both the enduring appeal of the CF6 and our capability to structure and deliver assets that align with investor expectations.”
The sale also reinforces AerFin’s role in linking global investment capital with aviation assets, supported by its market knowledge and transaction experience.
