Amman-based aircraft MRO facility and engineering arm of Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE), Joramco, has signed a cooperation agreement with Jordan’s Ministry of Youth to encourage more young people to pursue careers in aviation while supporting community development projects.

The agreement, signed by Minister of Youth Dr Raed Sami Al Adwan and DAE Engineering chief commercial and strategy officer Fraser Currie, will see Joramco support youth-focused programmes and invest in community infrastructure.

As part of the partnership, the MRO provider will contribute to the development of the Deir Alla Youth Center while promoting awareness of aviation careers across Jordan’s governorates.

The initiative aims to encourage young people to explore careers in aviation and technical professions while providing opportunities to develop relevant skills.

Al Adwan said the partnership would help empower young people within the aviation sector, describing aviation as an industry offering promising employment opportunities.

He added that the Ministry of Youth remains committed to strengthening partnerships with government bodies and national and international organisations to expand training and youth empowerment opportunities.

Currie said: “Young people are the driving force behind Jordan’s future, and investing in their development is an investment in the country’s long-term growth. Through this partnership with the Ministry of Youth, we hope to inspire more young Jordanians to explore the opportunities available within the aviation sector while supporting initiatives that create lasting value for local communities.”
