His Majesty King Abdullah II has officially inaugurated Joramco’s new Hangar 7 at Queen Alia International Airport, marking a significant expansion for the Amman-based MRO provider.
During the visit, His Majesty was received by Jeff Wilkinson, chief executive of DAE Engineering, who provided an overview of Joramco’s services to more than 60 international airline customers.
The new USD 30 million facility spans 12,000 sqm and is designed to boost the company’s annual capacity to handle up to 240 aircraft of various types.
With the addition of Hangar 7, Joramco’s facilities now extend over 257,000 sqm, comprising six hangars, 22 maintenance lines, and 10 specialised workshops.
The briefing also highlighted the role of Joramco Academy, which offers a four-year aircraft maintenance engineering programme blending academic study with practical training to prepare graduates for the aviation sector.
Alongside this milestone, Joramco has confirmed changes to its leadership team. Adam Voss has been appointed chief executive, effective September 14 2025, succeeding Fraser Currie.
Voss, who previously served as Joramco’s chief operating officer and most recently as chief executive of Dubai-based TIM Aerospace, said: “I am honoured to be taking on this new role at a time when Joramco has just added Hangar 7, which brings the MRO capacity up to 22 parallel lines. My focus will be on driving operational excellence.”
Currie has been promoted to chief strategy and commercial officer at DAE Engineering. Commenting on the transition, he said: “I am delighted to be moving to DAE Engineering and to work closely with chief executive Jeff Wilkinson on the continued success of Joramco and DAE Engineering.”
Wilkinson added: “With the tremendous growth trajectory that Joramco is currently experiencing – and the forecast continued growth over the coming years – it was critical that we expand our management team to ensure we continue to deliver to our customers, staff, and shareholders accordingly.
“I would like to thank Fraser Currie for his unwavering commitment and support during his tenure as chief executive, and wish Adam Voss every success in his new role.
“With our strengthened leadership team, we are ready to take DAE Engineering and Joramco to new heights under our ‘Committed to Excellence’ theme.”
