EASA Part-145 approved organisation Nomad Technics has completed a 144-month inspection and cabin refurbishment on an Embraer Legacy 650 aircraft.
Carried out at Nomad Technics’ facility in Basel, Switzerland, the maintenance work included landing gear overhaul, an extensive corrosion inspection of the aircraft’s primary and secondary structures, functional and operational tests of systems, and the implementation of Service Bulletins and Airworthiness Directives.
The aircraft’s customer also requested a full cabin refurbishment. In cooperation with aircraft interior company F/LIST, the new cabin was fully customised to the client’s specification.
This included full seat re-upholstery, re-veneering of all woodwork, installation of a new stone floor and new countertops in the galley and lavatory, new carpet, ceiling and sidewall panels and plating of all metal parts.
Thomas Gierlich, chief executive of Nomad Technics, said: “The successful completion of this demanding 144-month inspection on the Embraer Legacy 650 is another great milestone for Nomad Technics, which will enable us to further enhance our capabilities to offer and execute maintenance and cabin refurbishments.
“We are very proud of our Embraer maintenance team and the entire organisation behind it who have been performing extremely well.
“It will be our great pleasure to welcome owners and operators of Embraer, Airbus, Boeing and Bombardier business jets at our Basel facility to demonstrate our highly skilled VVIP aircraft maintenance and refurbishment services.”
