LOT Polish Airlines awards engine maintenance contract to Lufthansa Technik
Lufthansa Technik has secured a new Engine Maintenance Services (EMS) contract for the CFM56-7Bs of LOT Polish Airlines’ Boeing 737NG fleet.
In addition to the first of 11 inductions that have recently started at Lufthansa Technik’s HQ in Hamburg, Germany, support will also be provided with two lease engines for the Polish carrier.
Dorota Dmuchowska, chief operating officer at LOT Polish Airlines, said: “After the successful start of our relatively new cooperation, we are convinced that Lufthansa Technik’s technical expertise – also in the field of engine maintenance – will further enhance our operational stability for the coming years.
“Our partner has shown a deep understanding of our individual requirements and has demonstrated its flexibility in adapting its offerings.”
Kai-Stefan Roepke, senior vice president of corporate sales EMEA at Lufthansa Technik, said: “After the successful first Boeing 787 overhaul for LOT in Malta in April, which marked the beginning of our cooperation, we are pleased to further deepen our partnership.
“It’s not just the crane in our company logos that unites us, but the striving for excellence. Therefore, the new contract marks another important milestone in our collaboration and demonstrates that our customers benefit significantly from our commitment to first-class engine MRO services.”
