Magnetic Group’s sub-brand, Magnetic MRO, has announced construction plans for two new maintenance hangars at Tallinn Airport in Estonia.
The new MRO hangars will be located on the southern side of the airport premises and occupy a total of 11,000 sqm.
Construction of the new hangars will begin in the fall of 2024 and be completed by the end of 2025.
Jan Kotka, chief operations officer at Magnetic Group, said: “We are extremely pleased to share the long-awaited news about our two new hangars located in Tallinn.
“Since 2023, the number of commercial aircraft globally is growing rapidly. At present, there are about 30,000 commercial aircraft, and in the next 10 years, this number will rise to about 36,000.
“Nearly 80 aircraft are brought here to Tallinn annually, and now we are reaching 100. However, industry-wise, a critical shortage of maintenance capacity remains.
“As for our clients, they welcomed the news of these newly-built hangars, as they were already fully booked even before construction began. This demonstrates our clients’ trust in us and the strong demand for high-quality maintenance services.”
Magnetic Group claims the new premises will feature innovative, energy-efficient designs that surpass previous facilities and that they will adhere to world-class standards, contributing to the development of Tallinn Airport and the Tallinn Airport City business hub.
