SriLankan Engineering has announced new long-term line maintenance agreements in Colombo with two national flag carriers: Malaysia Airlines and Gulf Air.

The contract with Malaysia Airlines marks a new partnership, while the agreement with Gulf Air, the national airline of Bahrain, is a renewal.

Announcing the Malaysia Airlines deal on LinkedIn, SriLankan Engineering stated: “This marks the continuation and expansion of scope of a strong and successful partnership, and we are thrilled to provide our trusted maintenance support to include their Boeing 737 MAX fleet as well.

“We deeply value the confidence Malaysia Airlines has placed in us and look forward to delivering exceptional service for their operations in Colombo.”

SriLankan Engineering also shared the Gulf Air renewal on LinkedIn, emphasising the long-standing relationship: “This milestone not only strengthens our bond with a trusted partner but also reinforces our commitment to delivering exceptional line maintenance services across multiple aircraft types within the Gulf Air fleet. Their continued trust in our expertise is a testament to our shared dedication to safety, innovation, and operational excellence.

“We look forward to many more years of collaboration and success as we continue to support Gulf Air’s operations in Colombo.”

The agreements follow SriLankan Engineering’s recent renewal with SalamAir, which saw the company successfully complete base maintenance on an A321neo with a quick turnaround, ensuring the aircraft was back in service swiftly.
