Engine MRO provider BP Aero has secured the authorisation and access to GE Aerospace’s CF34-10 technical data license, enhancing its portfolio of service capabilities as part of the ITP Aero Group.
This milestone strengthens ITP Aero’s position in the US market and supports the group’s growth in end-to-end propulsion services.
The CF34-10 license and OEM authorisation strategically expand BP Aero’s established component overhaul and engine repair services. With a growing portfolio, BP Aero now supports multiple GE and other major engines, including LEAP, CFM56, CF6-80C2, CF34, F119, F135, GE90, and V2500 engine models.
This achievement aligns with ITP Aero’s MRO strategy to expand aftermarket capabilities on key engine platforms. As ITP Aero’s first US footprint, BP Aero plays a crucial role in advancing the group’s reach in this high-growth market.
Mike Walsh, head of BP Aero, said: “We are excited to have obtained the CF34-10 technical data license. For the last 15 years we have continued to add engine models and invest in capability to position BP Aero for future growth in the aviation sector. We look forward to supporting our existing customers and working with new CF34-10 customers to offer both solutions and capacity.”
GE Aerospace CF34-10 is an advanced 20,000-pound thrust-class turbofan propulsion system. It is a member of GE Aerospace’s family of highly successful CF34® commercial jet engines and has been selected to power the new Embraer 190/195 and Lineage 1000.
The announcement was made during Aviation Week’s MRO Europe 2024 event in Barcelona.
