New leadership roles announced at AFI KLM E&M

AFI KLM E&M) has announced a series of strategic leadership appointments which it says is aimed at strengthening the group's organisation and maintaining its position as a leader in MRO services.

Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance (AFI KLM E&M) has announced a series of strategic leadership appointments which it says is aimed at strengthening the group’s organisation and maintaining its position as a leader in MRO services.

Michael Grootenboer has become senior vice president of procurement for the Air France-KLM Group. Grootenboer previously spent six years as senior vice president of group engine product at AFI KLM E&M. His role will now be filled by Jean-Louis Forest, formerly senior vice president of engines at Air France Industries.

Bruno Tricoire, who recently served as senior vice president of group components product, has replaced Forest in his role. Tricoire brings a solid background in component and airframe maintenance, including experience as chief executive of iGO. His return to the engine sector, where he previously served as product sales director, is expected to bring valuable insights. AFI KLM E&M says a replacement for Tricoire will be announced soon.

Additionally, Derk Nieuwenhuijze has been appointed vice president of technical sales and commercial performance within the E&M Commercial Organization (EMCO). In this role, he will manage the department responsible for creating proposals and contracts with customers globally and will work to further develop the group’s commercial organisation.
