Sabena technics integrates Toulouse Blagnac subsidiary

Sabena technics is integrating the fleet management & CAMO, powerplant & APU borescope, aircraft modifications, and flight ops & OCC activities previously operated within Aéroconseil AKKODIS into its group.

The new Sabena technics BGC subsidiary is located in Toulouse Blagnac, France, and managed by Francesco Aucelli. It features a staff of almost 200 experts based in France, Singapore, Dubai, and Montreal.

With its Part 21 J & G, Part CAMO, and Part 145 approvals, the subsidiary’s activities cover the entire life cycle of aircraft and helicopters.

“We are very pleased to welcome this new structure and its many talents to Sabena technics,” said Sabena technics’ CEO Philippe Rochet. “They perfectly complement the know-how of our group with an organisation adapted to specific markets that we wish to develop.

“Covering activities related to aircraft transitions, they address the leasing industry, lighter civil aircraft and helicopter modifications than those carried out by our Bordeaux design office, flight operations, and a range of other activities.

“This acquisition reinforces Sabena technics’ role as a service provider dedicated to the aircraft industry, providing its civil and military customers with ever-greater support in the technical operations of their aircraft.”
