Safran Nacelles and Viva Air Colombia have signed a 10-year service contract for the nacelles of the airline’s A320neo fleet, which is powered by CFM International LEAP-1A engines.
Under the terms of the contract, Viva Air Colombia will have access to Safran Nacelles’ global stock of spare engine nacelles, and will also benefit from OEM guaranteed MRO solutions at Safran Nacelles repair stations.
“We are pleased to support Viva Air Colombia in its A320neo maintenance operations,” said Safran Nacelles’ executive vice president – customer support & services Alain Berger. “They can count on Safran Nacelles teams, particularly those at the Indianapolis, USA repair shop, who are fully mobilised to support Viva Air Colombia on a daily basis.”
Viva Air Colombia’s director of maintenance & engineering Jhon Luna commented: “Our young A320neo fleet needs all the support and expertise of an OEM like Safran Nacelles to keep our aircraft in operation with the highest level of quality and to carry out the necessary repairs in the shortest possible time.”
The contract offers OEM warranties and is carried out as part of the ‘NacelleLife’ support and services package. This covers all Safran Nacelles’ after sales activities and aims to provide a “responsive, reliable, cost effective and high-quality service”, the company said.
