ACMI, cargo and charter operator, SmartLynx Airlines, is digitalising its cabin issue reporting process by implementing the eCabinLog8 platform developed by Conduce.

SmartLynx Airlines says the system will allow its maintenance teams to carry out necessary aircraft interior fixes faster and more efficiently.

By providing precise details for each defect, including specific locations combined with pictures, the eCabinLog8 platform can help to reduce the time required to initiate repair actions.

This streamlined process minimises operational disruptions that might appear due to necessary cabin fixes and can enhance the overall experience for SmartLynx Airlines’ clients.

Lilija Boltovska, interim chief technical officer at SmartLynx Airlines, said: “We operate one of the largest and most diverse fleets in the ACMI market, which requires us to come up with advanced solutions to ensure the highest standards of safety, operational efficiency, and quality of our product.

“Digital sustainability and paperless operations are among the most emerging and promising areas in today’s aviation industry and are an important focus of SmartLynx.”

Hayley Russell, operations director at Conduce Group Ltd, said: “SmartLynx has always been a pioneer of paperless operations and was one of the first airlines in the world to fully remove the paper technical logbook with Conduce’s eTechLog8.

“By adding the fully integrated Cabin Log Application, crews can seamlessly report cabin items for rectification and see the status of the cabin at a glance using the interactive LOPA Chart”

SmartLynx Airlines says that its flight crews traditionally used printed cabin defect logs to report issues. However, with the new digital cabin log system, its maintenance teams can receive and respond to repair needs more swiftly, preparing materials and specialists well in advance.
