Viva Air goes live with IFS Cloud for Aviation Maintenance solution

Colombian ultra-low-cost airline Viva Air is now operating with the IFS Cloud for Aviation Maintenance solution after a successful implementation and fleet migration.

The IFS solution is being employed as Viva Air’s enterprise-wide fleet engineering and maintenance management system, according to Tsunami Tsolutions.

Viva Air said it partnered with Tsunami based upon its deep experience in IFS implementations as well as the ability to host the solution in a secure cloud environment.

Tsunami provided services in project management, solution design, data migration/validation, integration development and report development leading to the successful go-live event. Tsunami is providing both the hosting and system administration for the Viva solution in conjunction with ongoing development and support.

“Viva Air brought an engaged, knowledgeable, and very capable team to the project,” said Tsunami Tsolutions’ CEO Matt Atwater. “This, along with their senior leadership’s clear commitment to excellence, really helped support this programme from day one kick-off. The customer was focused on successfully delivering business value to their airline, and that is what we did together as partners.”

Viva Air’s COO Francisco Lalinde commented: “The IFS Cloud for Aviation Maintenance solution has been a crucial step along our digital transformation path. As a business, we can now communicate more effectively, and in real-time, to increase our asset availability by reducing aircraft downtime.

“We look forward to continuing to roll out advanced IFS solution features as our transformation continues. Tsunami Tsolutions’ experienced and dedicated staff integrated seamlessly with our team, and together we delivered an on-time and on-budget 14-month project.”
