Liebherr Aerospace awards MRO contract to Sabena technics

Liebherr Aerospace has signed a ten-year pay-by-the-hour maintenance agreement with Sabena technics.

The agreement will see Sabena technics cover component repairs for Liebherr’s new air management system (NAMs) on ATR’s 42/72-600 aircraft fleet.

Liebherr will handle the product support and services for Sabena technics operators through a back-to-back contract.

The support services will be performed by Liebherr’s service stations in Toulouse, France; Singapore; and Michigan, USA.

Sabena technics’ chief operating officer Philippe Delisle said: “Liebherr provides a high level of performance and flexibility and understands what we expect in order to ensure the operational needs of our customers.”

The new air management system developed and manufactured by Liebherr entered into service at the end of 2020.

Liebherr’s head of sales and marketing from customer services Thierry Gourmanel said: “Our main objective is always to offer best-in-class support and services solutions to our customers.

“Through this agreement we will meet Sabena technics’ and its operators’ expectations in terms of performance and services, ensuring their satisfactions.”
