Sichuan Airlines and Lufthansa Technik have agreed a five-year engine support and digital fleet solutions deal.
The MRO will provide engine maintenance services for the V2500s and CFM56-5Bs powering Sichuan’s A320 fleet. The airline has also joined Lufthansa Technik’s AVIATAR digital platform, covering its 168 A350s, A330s and A320s.
AVIATAR solutions include condition monitoring, fleet management, certain predictive maintenance & health management solutions and event analytics.
“The new cooperation with Lufthansa Technik is part of our commitment to ensure the highest possible operational reliability and a further confirmation of the excellent relationship between us and our long-standing partner,” said Sichuan Airlines’ deputy chief engineer and general manager of engineering Shao Chuan.
Lufthansa Technik’s CEO Johannes Bussmann commented: “We greatly appreciate the trust Sichuan Airlines has placed in us and are delighted that they have joined our AVIATAR community as well as selecting us for the engine support of their A320 fleet.
“Through our value adding digital solutions, we will support our partner Sichuan Airlines in optimising their technical operations processes and help to eliminate unscheduled maintenance related events.”
