Joramco Academy, the education arm of Joramco, the Amman-based MRO facility has unveiled its new state-of-the-art facility at Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA) and celebrated the graduation of aircraft maintenance engineers.

The newly constructed 5,000 sqm building represents a major step forward in advancing aviation education. Designed to meet global standards, the facility features 10 state-of-the-art classrooms, modern workshops, utilities, and a dedicated aircraft hangar and ramp area.

Incorporating specialised technical workshops and practical training spaces, the academy is committed to delivering an immersive, hands-on educational experience. This environment supports both academic achievement and student well-being, ensuring that graduates are fully equipped for the aviation industry.

The Joramco Academy curriculum spans four years, beginning with two years of academic study, followed by two years of practical experience within Joramco’s own hangars. Joramco says this structure bridges the gap between theoretical learning and real-world application, ensuring students gain the skills and knowledge necessary to excel. Upon completion, most graduates transition seamlessly into professional roles at Joramco.

Fraser Currie, chief executive of Joramco, said: “The new Academy is a critical part of our strategy for the future. We believe in the upward trajectory that the industry is heading, providing a golden opportunity for a successful profession.

“Today we are immensely proud of our graduates who have demonstrated exceptional dedication and skill throughout their time at Joramco Academy. Their seamless transition into our workforce and the inauguration of our exceptional modern facilities signify a bright future for both the Academy and Joramco as we continue to drive excellence in the aviation industry.”

Hana Ibsais, Joramco’s chief people and performance officer, said: “This celebration marks a significant milestone for both our graduates and our incoming students. The new facilities are a testament to our commitment to nurturing talent, reducing rates of unemployment in Jordan, and supporting the youth with the highest standards of education, now and for years to come.”
