StandardAero recently completed its 21,000th Honeywell TFE731 engine overhaul. The geared turbofan engine features on a range of business jets.

StandardAero has also completed more than 650 HTF7000 engine overhauls since receiving authorisation by Honeywell in 2016. More than 100 of those were accomplished in 2020. The HTF7000 family of turbofan engines power Bombardier Challenger 300/350, Embraer Legacy 450/500, Gulfstream G280 and Cessna Citation Longitude business jets.

“While 2020 has been a challenging year, we have continued to meet the demands of our customers and achieve these significant milestones,” said StandardAero president, business aviation Tony Brancato. “During difficult times, it is more important than ever to be available to respond 24/7 to both anticipated and unanticipated MRO customer service needs.”

StandardAero also announced a more than 500 per cent growth in customer use of its ‘MySA’ customer portal this year. With more than 1,400 active users, the portal is nearing 100,000 virtually managed customer ‘squawks’, the company said.

“Due to the Covid-19 situation, the portal has become a more safe and efficient method for remotely communicating and staying in contact with our customers,” noted Brancato.

The company said it had also seen “strong growth” in its PW300 engine MRO and has expanded its engine trading solutions capabilities during the year. There has also been a “steady flow of business” for its cabin connectivity solutions and airframe and avionics modifications and upgrades.

“[Our] essential services have never been more important to the world and our customers than right now,” said Brancato. “It is critical for the entire industry to continue to band together to provide the safest, most efficient and most productive travel options that will keep our economy moving forward.”
