Gran Canaria-based regional airline Binter has selected StandardAero to provide MRO services for the Pratt & Whitney Canada PW127F and PW127M engines which power its fleet of ATR 72s.

Under the multi-year agreement, StandardAero will provide Binter with MRO services from its OEM-authorised PW100 designated overhaul facility (DOF) in Gonesse, France.

The exclusive multi-year contract extends a long-running relationship between the two companies; StandardAero has supported Binter from its DOF locations in France and Canada.

Atavis’ general manager Octavio Ojeda – Atavis is a Binter System company dedicated to aviation logistics services – commented on the agreement on behalf of Binter. “Atavis supports as its main customer Binter Airlines, which operates one of the biggest fleet of ATRs in the world, with an inventory of nearly 80 engines,” he said. “Our cooperation with StandardAero allows us to complete the servicing of our own engine workshop with all the necessary guarantees.”

StandardAero’s president of airlines and fleets Lewis Prebble commented: “StandardAero is greatly appreciative of the confidence shown in us by Binter through this multi-year PW127M support agreement.

“We are honoured to have the opportunity to continue our long-standing relationship with Binter, and look forward to continuing to delight Binter and its passengers with reliable, high-quality services for many years to come.”
