In this video interview, Mahesh Kumar, CEO of Asia Digital Engineering (ADE), speaks to MRO Management/Aviation Business News (ABN) about the company’s recent milestones and ambitions for the future.

Kumar reflects on ADE’s newly signed agreement with Air France, describing it as a landmark achievement not just for the company, but also for Malaysia’s growing MRO sector. Kumar also addressed ADE’s current capacity challenge, with its 14-line hangar already fully booked, and outlined plans to expand in order to keep pace with strong customer demand.

With both FAA and EASA certifications now secured, Kumar explained how these approvals strengthen ADE’s position in the global maintenance market, enabling the company to attract more international business. Looking ahead, Kumar also shared his vision for ASEAN as an emerging aerospace hub and the role ADE aims to play in driving regional growth and competitiveness.

Kumar also speaks about his personal journey from starting out as technician to now being CEO, reflecting on how those early hands-on experiences continue to shape his leadership style and focus on developing people, processes, and long-term partnerships.
