Condor to fit Recaro on new aircraft

German leisure airline Condor has chosen Recaro to supply the Economy Class cabins of its new Airbus fleet with the  BL3710 and lightweight SL3710 seats.

The order includes 28 Airbus A321 and 13 A320 aircraft to be delivered between 2024 and 2028. The nearly 9,000 seats ordered will be installed in a hybrid layout and feature the airline’s branding.

The BL3710 seat comes equipped with an individual USB power, an enhanced ergonomic seat bottom, an adaptable tray table, elongated armrests, and a bring-your-own-device (BYOD) holder, while the lightweight SL3710 model has USB power and an integrated cup holder, all fitted on an eight-kilogram frame.

“By choosing Recaro seats, we are striving to maximise comfort for our guests on short and medium-haul flights,” said Christian Schmitt, Chief Operations Officer and Accountable Manager Condor.

Established in 1956, Condor is headquartered near Frankfurt Airport, currently operates a fleet of more than 50 aircraft, and serves 90 destinations worldwide.
