Enter to become a Best Place To Work In Aviation and inspire the next generation of industry professionals

Aviation Business News is seeking the UK’s best aviation and aerospace engineering firms to become a Best Place To Work In Aviation and has teamed up with the Royal Aeronautical Society for this year’s awards.

Now in its third year, Best Places To Work In Aviation aims to herald great employers that provide fulfilling careers in a sector facing critical shortages of skilled maintenance and operational staff.

Firms that register by the deadline of July 17 are being offered a 10% discount on an exhibition stand at one or both of the Royal Aeronautical Society’s two Careers In Aviation and Aerospace Live events in London and Sheffield in November.

Registered firms will also be given a chance to speak at the events and will be given their Best Places award at a ceremony during the careers fair should they meet the standard to be announced as a Best Place To Work In Aviation.

The Royal Aeronautical Society is offering stands from £1,100 for a Bronze package And there are also start-up packages available for just £600 at their London event on November 4 and £500 at their new event being held at Sheffield Hallam University on November 25.

Best Places in Aviation is also partnering this year with ADS, the owner of the Farnborough International Airshow and Aerospace Wales to promote careers in the aviation sector in the UK, with a particular focus on engineering and maintenance.

Lee Hayhurst, chief operating officer of ABN, said: “With The International Civil Aviation Organisation projecting that the industry will need 500,000 new engineers and technicians by 2030, the people challenge in aviation remains critical.

“ABN wants to play our part in helping the industry to inspire a new generation of skilled professionals who will keep this dynamic, innovative, and exciting industry flying for decades to come. I look forward to hearing about all our Best Places winners in 2026.”

There is no charge for companies to register for Best Places To Work In Aviation. Winners are determined by the results of independent employee and employer surveys conducted by our partner Workforce Research Group.

This year’s winning companies will be announced in October and the deadline to enter is July 17.
