Loganair has opened an operating base at Southampton Airport in a move designed to build resilience across the airline’s network.

The airline’s newest base will progressively scale its operations through the early months of 2026, reaching full operational capacity by March 2026, with two aircraft permanently based at the airport.

The base supports existing and recently launched routes, including services to Manchester and Edinburgh, with onward connectivity through Manchester to destinations such as Inverness, Aberdeen and the Isle of Man, as well as global connections via the carrier’s codeshare and interline partners.

Ronnie Matheson, chief commercial officer at Loganair, said: “Establishing a permanent base in Southampton allows us to better support an area of the country that is often overlooked, while providing our customers with dependable services and improved operational stability.

“As we scale up operations through to March, Southampton will play an increasingly important role in our UK network, supporting both regional travel and vital onward connections.”
