Lufthansa extends Spafax IFE partnership

Lufthansa has extended its partnership with IFE provider Spafax. In addition the scope of the deal will be widened to include advertising sales

As part of the renewal Spafax will ‘fortify’ its established Frankfurt Account Team with new resources to support Lufthansa Group and deliver on its capabilities in this key European market. Future projects will extend across all in-flight entertainment and connectivity (IFEC) touchpoints, as well as streamlining the content selection and delivery process from the cloud.

Also, third-party advertising sales responsibilities have been assigned to Spafax in a move that will help the airline secure suitable brand partnerships to improve revenue. The partnership will span numerous channels, providing passengers with content from the time of booking until after they land.

The airlines of the Lufthansa Group included in the agreement are Lufthansa, Discover Airlines, SWISS, Austrian Airlines and Edelweiss Air.
