Globe Air Cargo, a subsidiary of ECS Group, has entered into an exclusive strategic partnership with Air Serbia, the national carrier of Serbia, to enhance and expand the airline’s cargo operations across the United States.
Effective since October 1, 2024, Globe Air Cargo is now exclusively managing Air Serbia’s cargo services in the US, marking a significant expansion of the airline’s presence in this crucial market.
As part of the agreement, Globe Air Cargo will oversee sales and marketing efforts, offering 60 tonnes of weekly freight capacity across five weekly A330 flights connecting New York (JFK) and Chicago (ORD) to Belgrade (BEG).
The new partnership also strengthens Air Serbia’s connectivity to key European markets, with expanded routes to Bosnia (SJJ), Montenegro (TGD), Albania (TIA), North Macedonia (SKP), Zurich (ZRH), Istanbul (IST), and more.
Beyond Europe, the collaboration will extend Air Serbia’s services into China, including routes to Guangzhou (CAN), Tianjin (TSN), and a new service to Shanghai Pudong International Airport (PVG) beginning on January 11, 2025.
Additionally, Air Serbia’s US operations will be further supported by an extensive Road Feeder Service (RFS) network, facilitating smooth transfers between key hubs at JFK and ORD, ensuring efficient cargo connections to Eastern Europe and other global destinations.
Francisco Hernandez, managing director of Globe Air Cargo USA, said: “This partnership is a pivotal step in strengthening our presence in the US market. By combining Globe Air Cargo’s expertise with Air Serbia’s growing network, we aim to deliver seamless global logistics solutions.”
Veselin Djordjevic, head at Air Serbia Cargo, said: “We’re pleased to partner with ECS Group as our Cargo GSA in the USA. They’re renowned in the industry and global leaders in cargo GSA representation. Our network offers access to hard-to-reach destinations including Podgorica, Tirana, Skopje, Sarajevo, Sofia, and Zagreb, alongside Belgrade.
“With over 50 drop-off points covered by extensive RFS connections via ORD and JFK, our product is well-regarded in the USA. Serving both Chicago and New York year-round, we provide high-quality, reliable service to support the US export community.”
