Under De Nooijer’s leadership, Transavia’s fleet was renewed with the transition from Boeing to Airbus. A broader sustainability agenda was also introduced, with initiatives focused on CO₂ reduction. More recently, he also oversaw a brand refresh to mark the carrier’s 60th anniversary.
De Nooijer also collaborated with KLM to build a new, future-proof maintenance hangar at Schiphol.
No replacement yes yet been found, although a statement from the airline has said that the process for appointing a successor has begun; and that further details will be announced shortly.
