The Aircraft Fleet Recycling Association (AFRA) has announced the results of its 2025–2026 board of directors election.

The directors elected were James Bennett from AerFin and Liset Geijselears from Aircraft End-of-Life Solutions (AELS), with Pedro Lama from Aviation International Recycling being re-elected.

The results of the election were announced during the Association’s Annual Member Meeting, held on 2 June 2025 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, during the ASA AFRA Conference.

The full AFRA board of directors for 2025-2026 includes Brent Webb from CAVU Aerospace as president, and Rafael Ferro from Boeing Global Services as vice-president.

It also includes Lee McConnellogue from ecube as treasurer, and Scott Butler from Ascent Aviation Services as secretary.

Completing the directors list includes Maylin Salgado from GA Telesis, Brian Skrobarcek from StandardAero, and Simon Upton for Air Salvage International.

Bennett said: “It is a privilege to be joining the board of directors at AFRA. AerFin is a long-standing member of AFRA and as the aviation industry continues to evolve, AFRA’s mission to promote sustainable, safe and responsible aircraft recycling aligns closely with our purpose – to breathe new life into aviation.

“This role represents a powerful opportunity to help shape best practices across the industry, while unlocking new avenues for growth and innovation. I’m excited about what we can continue to achieve together.”

AELS’ Geijselears said: “I am honoured and grateful for this nomination. Thank you for placing your trust in me. I look forward to contributing and bringing my experience to the AFRA Board.”

Lama said: “It is a great honour for AIR to be re-elected to the AFRA board of directors. As a group of recycling companies, it is a big challenge for us to help push the aviation recycling industry forward and to support continuous improvement in circular economy practices and new recycling methods.”
