Aircraft painting and coating services company International Aerospace Coatings (IAC) has announced plans to expand its presence at Spain’s Teruel Airport (TEV) with the construction of an additional widebody hangar adjacent to its existing widebody facility there.
IAC said the new facility will position it to meet rapidly growing demand for its paint services with state-of-the-art aircraft-painting equipment such as extraction pumps and a high-tech air-recirculation system.
According to IAC, the facility – which will be the 21st in its global network – is expected to be operational in Q3 2026 and will increase the total number of paint lines available globally from 30 to 32.
The facility will support approximately 60 new full-time jobs in the region and bring IAC’s total employment in Teruel to over 130 people.
Martin O’Connell, chief executive of IAC, said the next-generation hangar will enable the company to “elevate the scale and quality of our already best-in-class service to our prominent OEM and airline customers, whose material growth in their fleets is driving rising demand for our essential service.”
