Bucher Group has been selected as a new Supplier Furnished Equipment (SFE) supplier for Airbus, providing customised galleys and stowage systems for the A320 family. The company has developed the G1B Galley, a new design meeting strict cockpit security standards (CS 25.795), including reinforced structures and energy-absorbing features to resist intrusion.

A prototype of the G1B was displayed at AIX in April, however precise customisation details are to be agreed upon mutually between the manufacturer and the airframer. The first production units are scheduled for delivery later in 2026, marking the transition from certification to series production.
