According to TPConnects, the upgrade will give Egyptair and its travel partners greater pricing accuracy, improved visibility of change and cancellation penalties, and more efficient order management. The platform also introduces real-time, order-based accounting and automated revenue allocation, helping simplify reconciliation processes.

The deployment is part of the airline’s wider digital transformation strategy and supports the airline’s move towards modern airline retailing, which aims to replace traditional ticket-based processes with a more flexible order-based approach.

Kristiaan VanDijken, VP Account Management – Airlines at TPConnects Technologies, said the launch demonstrates the carrier’s commitment to modern retailing.

“We are honoured to support Egyptair as the first airline in the Middle East and Africa to deploy NDC 24.4 in production,” he said.  “This showcases their vision for modern airline retailing and their commitment to delivering exceptional value to travel partners and passengers through industry-leading distribution technology.”

“Deploying NDC 24.4 in production demonstrates Egyptair’s commitment to delivering the most advanced booking and servicing experience to our travel partners and customers today,” said Mr. Amr Adawy, VP Commercial at Egyptair. “This platform provides the foundation for continuous innovation, allowing us to further enhance our capabilities and introduce new features that drive value for our partners and passengers.”
