British Airways has revealed the redesigned cabins that will debut on its retrofitted Airbus A380 fleet, marking a significant milestone in one of the airline’s largest-ever cabin refurbishment programmes.

The first upgraded aircraft is expected to enter service in the coming months and will feature new seats across all cabins, refreshed interiors and a range of passenger experience enhancements. The refurbishment forms part of British Airways’ wider investment programme aimed at modernising its long-haul product.

Business class will feature an updated version of the airline’s Club Suite, with 106 seats spread across the A380’s upper deck, creating what British Airways describes as the world’s largest business class cabin. Premium economy and economy passengers will also benefit from larger entertainment screens, upgraded seating and new bedding.

A key element of the retrofit is the introduction of a new First suite, designed to offer greater privacy and comfort, alongside a refreshed First dining concept, new amenity kits and enhanced sleep products.

British Airways CEO Sean Doyle said the project represents “one of the most significant transformations we’ve ever undertaken on any aircraft”.

He added: “We’ve completely reimagined the customer experience, introducing new and updated seats in every cabin, all carefully considered to deliver greater comfort and an elevated customer experience.”

The refurbishment extends beyond the passenger cabins to include redesigned galleys, stairways and service areas, while updated crew training programmes aim to support a more personalised onboard service.
