Airline retailer Verteil has announced a new platform designed to help airlines participate in AI-driven travel shopping and booking without replacing existing retailing systems.
Launched at T2RLEngage 2026 in London, Verteil's Agentic Retailing platform connects AI assistants, agentic commerce platforms and airline-owned conversational channels to airline offers, order management, payments and servicing capabilities. The company said the technology allows airlines to make their products available through emerging AI-led channels while retaining control of content, pricing and customer relationships.
Jerrin Jos, Founder and CEO of Verteil Technologies, said: 'AI is starting to change how people search for and buy travel. Airlines need a way to be part of that journey without handing over control of their product or customer relationship. With Agentic Retailing, our aim is to give airlines a practical way to connect AI-led channels to the systems they already use.'"
According to the company, the platform sits between AI-powered channels and an airline's existing retailing infrastructure, drawing on live pricing, availability, offers, orders, loyalty and servicing data from airline systems. The firm also said the technology can operate with its own Offer and Order platform or integrate with existing OMS, PSS and retailing environments.
Verteil said it is now working with airlines and technology partners on proof-of-value programmes ahead of planned production deployments.
