SWISS is to discontinue its inflight duty-free sales on its flights at the end of September.
The airline has said that it is responding to 'changing passenger purchasing behaviour' and that it has analysed the sale of duty-free goods onboard in recent years and discovered that while a few make still make spontaneous purchases onboard, it has become and 'exception, no longer the rule'.

The current inflight sales catalogue will remain valid until the offering ends on September 30, 2026. From June onward, SWISS will offer selected items from the remaining duty-free assortment at reduced prices – with discounts starting at 25 percent, while stocks last. After that, SWISS will discontinue duty-free sales entirely. Other onboard retail offerings, in particular the paid-for food and drinks menu will remain unaffected by this adjustment.
Passengers who still desire items previously sold onboard will still be able to access them through the airline's 'Worldshop' on the Miles and More loyalty programme website. In addition to mugs, trolley suitcases, or aircraft models in the airline's livery, aviation enthusiasts will also find furniture pieces and accessories made from decommissioned aircraft.
