Air and travel services provider dnata has upgraded its cargo control centre in Dubai into a new Cargo Integrated Command Centre (CICC), bringing operational data and decision-making tools into a single environment.
Located at dnata’s Dubai International Airport (DXB) hub, the CICC provides a centralised view of cargo operations across DXB and Dubai World Central-Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC).
The centre is designed to help teams anticipate operational requirements, coordinate resources and respond more quickly to changing conditions across the two airports.
It oversees an operation that handled more than one million tonnes of cargo, 189,000 flight movements and 46,000 truck movements during the 2025-26 financial year.
At the core of the CICC is dnata’s internally developed operational dashboard, which consolidates information from several systems and refreshes every 10 seconds to provide a near real-time picture of cargo activity.
This includes data from dnata’s One Cargo management system, its Appointment and Dock Management (ADM) system for truck movements, and Calogi, its cargo community platform.
By combining these systems, dnata said teams can identify potential bottlenecks and make faster decisions around workload, capacity and resource allocation.

The CICC builds on dnata’s wider investment in digitalisation across its Dubai cargo operations.
Recent initiatives include the use of autonomous drones for warehouse inventory processes, which dnata said deliver more than 99% accuracy in shipment tracking.
The company has also developed a centralised cargo screening control room with Dubai Police, allowing six X-ray screening machines at DXB to be remotely operated and monitored from one location.
dnata said the CICC has been designed as a scalable model capable of supporting increasing cargo capacity and operational complexity as its UAE operations expand.
