Finnair Cargo strengthens digital transformation with Accelya platform
Finnair Cargo has renewed its partnership with Accelya to continue using the technology provider’s ‘Cargo’ platform as its core system to support commercial activities, operations, ground handling and revenue accounting capabilities.
Accelya’s Cargo platform underpins Finnair Cargo’s end-to-end cargo business, ensuring accuracy in rating, warehouse operations, billing, and settlement across the network.
Acting as a core commercial and financial platform, it keeps booking, pricing, and financial governance aligned, reducing manual effort and supporting consistent financial performance.
Gabriela Hiitola, senior vice president at Finnair Cargo, said: “This extension reflects the importance of stability and trust in the systems that underpin our cargo business. Accelya enables us to operate reliably today, while continuing to modernise how we manage our cargo operations and strengthen the digital resilience required for the long term.”
Andrew Wilcock, chief commercial officer at Accelya, said: “Cargo environments are complex and unforgiving of disruption. Our role is to provide the continuity, expertise, and digital foundation airlines need to operate at scale today, while supporting the ongoing evolution of their cargo businesses.
“This partnership reflects our long-term commitment to enabling control and confidence as digitalisation becomes central to cargo execution.”
