Oman Air has launched five new routes within a single week, expanding the network available to its cargo customers and strengthening connectivity across key Asian markets.
The expansion includes new services from Muscat to Singapore and Tashkent, alongside routes to Sochi and Abu Dhabi, and a new connection between Salalah and Dubai.
All five routes will be operated using Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft.
Michael Duggan, head of cargo at Oman Air, said: “The five new destinations strengthen the options available to our cargo customers, providing greater connectivity across Asia while supporting the efficient movement of time-sensitive and high-value shipments.
“We are particularly pleased the additions further expand Oman Air Cargo’s perishables capability, a key objective of the airline in response to our expanding customer base.”
The Muscat-Tashkent service will operate twice weekly, creating additional capacity between Oman and the Central Asian market.
Oman Air said the route is expected to support increased trade in perishables and other time-critical commodities between the two countries.
Meanwhile, the new Muscat-Singapore service will operate four times a week, expanding Oman Air Cargo’s reach into the Southeast Asian market and providing access to onward global connections.
The other additions comprise a weekly service to Sochi, daily flights to Abu Dhabi and three weekly flights between Dubai and Salalah.
Duggan added: “As trade between Oman and Asia continues to grow, expanding our network enables us to offer customers greater flexibility, improved market access, and more efficient routing options.”
