Qatar Airways Cargo has published its latest schedule, confirming the resumption of freighter and belly-hold operations between Doha and Baghdad.
The carrier will introduce a weekly Boeing 777 freighter service to Baghdad International Airport (BGW) from May 7, followed by the restart of twice-weekly passenger flights operated by Qatar Airways from May 10.
With both freighter and passenger services back in operation, Qatar Airways Cargo will offer more than 115 tonnes of combined cargo capacity from Doha to Baghdad from May 10.
The update forms part of a wider network expansion for the cargo carrier. As of May 1, Qatar Airways Cargo’s freighter network has increased to more than 60 destinations, while the airline’s passenger and belly-hold network is set to expand to more than 150 destinations from June 16.
The carrier said all products are now available for booking through its normal sales channels, including the Digital Lounge and local Qatar Airways Cargo sales teams, with capacity open for customer bookings.
