Saudia Cargo and Tibah Airports Operation Company have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at enhancing the air cargo capabilities of Prince Mohammed Bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Madinah.

The agreement is designed to strengthen logistics operations at the airport by combining Saudia Cargo’s air freight expertise with the strategic location of the airport, which is managed by Tibah Airports Operation Company.

The partners said the collaboration will support greater supply chain efficiency and help Madinah keep pace with growth across the aviation and logistics sectors.

Under the MoU, Saudia Cargo and Tibah Airports Operation Company will work together on a range of logistics initiatives, including engagement with relevant legislative and governmental bodies.

The agreement also includes regular workshops, consultations and meetings to improve existing practices and identify new opportunities for the logistics sector.

The two organisations will also facilitate the exchange of information, expertise and resources to support logistics operations and develop joint opportunities in the Madinah region.

A key focus of the partnership will be improving operational efficiency and customer experience through knowledge transfer, specialised workshops and the development of new plans and initiatives for air cargo and logistics activity in Madinah.

As part of the agreement, Saudia Cargo will provide special shipping rates to stimulate air cargo and export activity in the region. Tibah Airports Operations Company will, in turn, offer incentive programmes to support Saudia Cargo’s operations at Prince Mohammed Bin Abdulaziz International Airport.

The partnership is intended to improve air cargo flows, support more competitive services and strengthen Madinah’s position as an aviation and logistics hub.

It also aligns with Saudi Arabia’s wider economic diversification goals by supporting export activity, improving logistics connectivity and enhancing the Kingdom’s links with global markets.
